Let's Talk About Love: The Dads

Join us for an inspiring evening of film, conversation, and community at Let’s Talk About Love with The Dads. This special event will feature a screening of the Emmy Award-winning Netflix documentary short, The Dads, directed by Luchina Fisher and executive produced by Dwyane Wade. The film follows a group of fathers, including Wayne Maines and Stephen Chukumba, as they share their journeys of love, acceptance, and advocacy for their transgender and nonbinary children.
Following the screening, Wayne Maines and Stephen Chukumba will lead a powerful discussion and Q&A session, sharing their personal experiences as fathers and advocates.
Special Highlights:
• Exclusive screening of the trailer for The Dads, Too, the highly anticipated feature-length follow-up documentary.
• Presentation on The Dads Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting fathers of gender-expansive children.

Grand Kyiv Ballet Presents- The Nutcracker

The Grand Kyiv Ballet actors, who are leading Ukrainian ballet dancers and have represented it with dignity over the last five years on the world’s leading stages, take part in the performance.
The Nutcracker is a ballet by Pyotr Tchaikovsky with a libretto by Marius Petipa, based on the story “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” by E. T. A. Hoffmann. It was created and first presented to the public in 1892. In Hoffmann’s fairy tale, the girl’s name is Mary (the main character), and her favorite doll is Clara. Marius Petipa used exactly this for his libretto.

She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen

She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans as she leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, however, she finds herself catapulted into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister’s refuge. In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and 90s pop culture, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.
